Facing threat from MLA for exposing fraud, says activist

It is said, a series of projects including laying of new roads and construction of new bridges were going on at Ayyampalayam in Mannachanallur constituency where Parameshwari is the MLA. After the villagers found that the materials used for the work were of poor quality, social activist Manickam had submitted a petition with the district Collector.

Based on the petition, the district Collector K Rajamani inspected the spot and stopped the work as the information given by the social activist turned out to be authentic.

Meanwhile, Manickam had been receiving threat calls from the supporters of MLA Parameshwari. On Thursday, Manickam submitted a petition with the Collector regarding the safety of his family as the men of Parameshwari have been threatening him. He also submitted a petition to the district police.
