Missing girl returns as kin besiege MLA

According to sources, the class 9 girl from Inam Kalpalayam went missing on Tuesday. One of her relatives alleged that she had seen the girl going with Rajasekaran (27), who was close to Manachanallur MLA Parameshwari. Subsequently, the family members lodged a complaint with the Mannachanallur police.

On Wednesday night, relatives of the missing girl besieged the house of Parameshwari and demanded to take steps to rescue the girl. Thereafter, Parameshwari pacified the agitated members of the family and assured the people that the girl would be freed within 30 minutes. She also rejected allegations that Rajesekaran was her close aide.

Meanwhile, as promised by the MLA, the girl was brought to the police station within half an hour. The police informed Parameshwari and the relatives of the girl that Rajasekaran had escaped during the rescue operation.

The police are on the process of registering a case against Rajasekaran.
