Kamal to register party today
Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan, the president of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), is expected to be present at the Election Commissioner’s office in New Delhi at 11 am on Wednesday, along with senior party members to officially register his party after having launched MNM on February 21 in Madurai.

Kamal had then said that the name ‘Maiam’ means centre, the six hands in the party symbol represent six states, and that the star in the middle represents people.
Since then, he has also launched a whistleblower app and stated that he would develop model villages across Tamil Nadu to set an example to the rest of the country.
