Half-shaven head causes flutter in court
A 38-year-old man caused a flutter after he appeared before a Thanjavur court with a half-tonsured head and a half-shaven moustache, alleging that the police had foisted a false case against him.

Jayakumar, a resident of Memmeli North near Pappanadu, was arrested by the police for assaulting Vignesh of Samyankudikadu in 2015. A case under the Prevention of Atrocities (SC/ST) Act was registered against him.Â
On Tuesday, Jayakumar appeared before the judge in a Thanjavur court, which was hearing the case. Subsequently, he told media persons that he was falsely implicated in the assault case.Â
Claiming that he did not even know Vignesh, Jayakumar said that he had spent 12 days in prison before getting a bail. Demanding the withdrawal of the case filed against him, Jayakumar sought for action to be taken against the police personnel for falsely implicating him. Earlier, Jayakumar was ordered to appear again on July 25 by the Judge.
