Tiruvannamalai GH docs on stir after colleague’s suicide attempt

It may be recalled that Bhavani refused to entertain the demand of Vijayakumar for aborting the pregnancy of his wife a few days ago. 

An enraged Vijayakumar abused the doctor verbally and then posted a derogatory statement about Bhavani along with her photo on Facebook. Although Vijayakumar later apologised for his actions, Bhavani reportedly became upset after her relatives asked her about the Facebook post.

She consumed an overdose of sleeping pills in an alleged suicide attempt.

Bhavani was admitted to the Tiruvannamalai GH by her relatives, following which junior medicos at the hospital resorted to the strike. As a result, senior doctors were forced to man the Outpatient (OP) station on Saturday.
