Sarathkumar seeks Rajini’s clarification

Sarathkumar visited Thoothukudi general hospital to meet the victims. He consoled them and distributed Rs 50,000 as compensation. He addressed the media and said that the police firing was atrocious and the protesters who did not have any violent intentions were subjected to brutality.

The Judicial commission appointed by the government should function fairly and the victims should be given a chance to submit their representations, he added. People are afraid that they would be singled out by the policemen if they depose before the commission and so there should be independence for the victims to submit their representations. 

Lauding the steps taken by the state government against Sterlite Copper he said that a resolution should be passed against the company in the assembly and all the cases filed against the protesters should be withdrawn. If Rajinikanth does not explained he might as well be booked under National Security Act for his comments, said Kumar.
