New higher education research fund

Seven of those universities, which come under the administrative fold of Higher Education, were among the top 100 institutions in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2018.

Special training would be provided to students studying in government arts and science colleges in collaboration with the British Council to improve their English as well as impart other skills to make them employable.

The financial assistance to students of government and government aided arts and science colleges studying in Tamil medium was enhanced from Rs 400 to Rs 900 per month from the current year.
