EPS, Deputy must step down, says Kamal Haasan
Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan called for the resignation of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister on Thursday.

In the aftermath of police action that left 13 anti-Sterlite protestors dead and scores injured in Thoothukudi.
Kamal said that it is not enough that the Collector and Superintendent of Police have been transferred out of the district but that the government must take moral responsibility and those who granted orders to the police to fire at protesters must be held accountable. He also questioned why neither the Chief Minister nor the Deputy Chief Minister has visited Thoothukudi yet.
He condemned the move to shutdown internet services in Thoothukudi and adjoining districts.
He said that the government views the people as aggressors, but those who have harmed the people are the real aggressors in this case.
He drew parallels between the fracas on the last day of the Jallikattu protests and the Thoothukudi protests
