Stalin’s bid to politicise Cauvery failed: Raju
Claiming that attempt to politicise the Cauvery dispute by the DMK working president MK Stalin has failed, Cooperative Minister Sellur K Raju asserted that the state has emerged victorious over the rights on Cauvery water.

“We have not foregone our rights, got water through a historic judgment. This has left the Opposition fuming which was looking to politicise the issue,” Raju said on the sidelines of reviewing the performance of Cooperative societies at the Cooperative Training Institute in Madhavaram.
“The Edappadi K Palaniswami government has to be duly credited for resolving the issue which was affecting the state for about 125 years and for taking forward the legal struggle launched by our late leader J Jayalalithaa.”
The credit has to go to the CM and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam,” Raju added. It has left the DMK devastated.
“Stalin could not do anything as always,” Raju quipped. On reports of tussle between OPS and EPS, Raju likened the duo to ‘Maruthu Brothers,’ and that nothing could come in between them. On the lull in the Cooperative societies, the Minister said steps are in place for smooth functioning till elections.
