Businessman stabbed in Palani hospital by former driver

The victim, Ravi Raja, a businessman at Palani, was a diabetic and as his sugar level had shot up, he was admitted in the hospital. When he was undergoing treatment in the medical ward, a man stabbed Ravi in the neck with a knife.

Hearing Ravi’s screams, people at the spot rushed to his help and on seeing them, the man stabbed Ravi two more times and escaped. While escaping, he took Ravi’s car. Immediately, police were informed and they rushed to the spot. All police stations in the neighbouring areas were alerted about the car’s number. When the car was travelling near Dharapuram, it was stopped and the culprit was arrested.

The man identified himself as Chandran of Chennai. He told the police that he was a former driver of Ravi. Due to a dispute, Ravi had sacked him and to avenge it, he stabbed him. Ravi, who suffered critical injuries, was rushed to the Madurai GRH for treatment.
