It’s up to state to act against SVe Shekher: Tamilisai

She said that the BJP will definitely win the Karnataka Assembly election and most of the exit polls conducted in Karnataka predict more number of seats for the BJP.

“After the party wins the elections, the relationship between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will improve and Cauvery water will reach Tamil Nadu,” she said. When Congress was ruling Karnataka it did not help Tamil people and did not follow the directions of the Supreme Court. Even when the court directed Karnataka government to release 4 tmc of water the state government refused to comply with the order, said Tamilisai. When asked whether the Union government will take steps to shutdown Sterlite Copper she replied, “The power to shutdown Sterlite Copper is not vested with either the state government or the Union government but with the Supreme Court as the case is pending in the apex court.”

When asked whether the BJP is shielding Shekher from getting arrested, she replied that the police department is in the hands of the state government and it is up to them to arrest him. She also said that she had recommended action against Shekher and the charge that the BJP is shielding him is not true.
