Don’t use my name, Sasikala warns Dhivakaran
Taking a clear stand on the family feud, sidelined AIADMK leader VK Sasikala on Friday asserted that her nephew TTV Dhinakaran was acting as per her directions and warned her brother Dhivakaran not to use her name or portrait for political purposes.

In a legal notice, a copy of which was released to the media, she rejected the claims of Dhivakaran that Sasikala had asked the MLAs to support the government headed by Edappadi K Palaniswami and termed both Palaniswami and deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam as ‘betrayers and opportunists’.
In a move aimed at dispelling the claims of Dhivakaran that Sasikala wanted the present government to continue, she described the AIADMK government as ‘anti-people’ and a puppet of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
In a strong message to the 18 disqualified legislators, at present backing Dhinakaran, and the other MLAs, who might be loyal to her, she affirmed that the AMMK leader was functioning according to her directions.
Lashing out at both Panneerselvam and Palaniswami, she said they had scrapped the general secretary post and set up a commission of enquiry into former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s death to defame her (Sasikala).
She warned of legal action against Dhivakaran if he continued to speak about her in the media. Praising her nephew, she said Dhinakaran was brought to politics by Jayalalithaa and was nominated as the deputy general secretary based on his capabilities and political experience. He was facing all the challenges and running the party like Amma’s army, she said.
The legal notice comes after Dhinakaran met her in Bengaluru prison on Monday.
