Online applications for engineering courses cross 25,000 mark
The online registration for admission to engineering courses in Tamil Nadu crossed 25,000-mark within five days on Monday with more students being expected to enrol

Even on Sunday, more than 2,000 engineering aspirants have registered through online. This year, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling process through which more than 1.5 lakhs engineering aspirants are expected get themselves enrolled into engineering colleges of the state through online counselling, is fully digitized.
TNEA sources told DT NEXT that as on Monday, a total of 28,718 students have registered to seek admission in engineering colleges. Of the total, 17,897 have enrolled online and the rest used the facilitation centres set up in all districts.
Students can approach these centres at different stages of the application. The facilitation centres would provide required support and guidance to the applicants, besides extending internet-enabled computer facilities.
“On Monday, 5,860 students have registered, of which 4,819 candidates registered online and rest through facilitation centres,” sources added.
