TTD popularising Sarva Darshan token system
Common devotees of Lord Venkateswara and regular visitors to Vaishnavite hill shrine of Tirumala can now have comfortable darshan of their beloved deity without waiting for long in free darshan queues.

In order to facilitate the devotees in fulfilling their aspirations and redeeming their vows, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) administration has successfully evolved and implemented the Sarva Darshan (SD) token system. It is a boon for 60,00070,000 devotees, who come to Tirumala.
TTD Executive Officer, Anil Kumar Singhal said that instead of waiting in the queue lines at Tirumala, the common devotee could well spend valuable time visiting various other shrines in and around Tirupati- Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor, Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Temple and Appalayagunta.
The TTD EO, who inspected the SD counters at Tirupati on Saturday night, said the new concept would go a long way in meeting the demand of common devotees for a hassle-free darshan of Lord Venkateswara more or less on par with other categories of devotees. “It is an endeavour to serve the common devotees in every manner- free laddu prasadam, Anna prasadam, rooms, tonsuring and also free transport to Tirumala and Tirupati,” Singhal said.
With the new SD scheme, the devotees (of free darshan category) can reserve their darshan time and join the queue lines and show their tokens near the Narayanagiri queue complex and enter the queue which ensures darshan within the shortest possible time. The SD tokens can be obtained by devotees as they get down from trains and buses or private vehicles at Tirupati itself in the nearly 109 darshan counters.
The SD counters have been set up at TTD choultries and also rest houses- Madhavam, Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam (opposite to Railway Station) and main RTC and Alipriri bus stand. They can get the tokens without cost by producing their Aadhaar or Voter ID card. Those who don’t have either Aadhaar or Voter ID can go through the normal route of queue lines at VQC.
To spread awareness of SD, the TTD has deployed teams of Srivari Sevakulu with public address systems announcing in different languages at all locations in Tirupati appealing to devotees to make use of the SD token.
The TTD has also set up flexis boards in Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil besides handbills to spread awareness about the new SDs tokens and its advantages.
