Sri Lankan refugee arrested for molesting 12-year-old girl

According to Police, the accused, Saravanan (31), was in a relationship with a widow inside the refugee camp and the victim was her daughter. The incident happened when the girl was playing outside and Saravanan took her inside the house and molested her. When the girl informed her mother about the incident she admitted her in a government home for girls instead of complaining to the police. 

When the in-charge of the home, Sakunthala, inquired the girl why she was admitted there, the girl informed her about the incident following which she complained to the police. Thereafter, Rameswaram all-women police booked a case against Saravanan under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences(POCSO), Act and arrested him.
