Teen kills tipsy dad for torturing family
A 18-year-old engineering student killed his father after the latter reportedly consumed liquor and hit his mother in Chinnakodakodi village near Devakottai in Sivaganga district, on Monday.

The incident happened when the deceased, Sekar (45), was sleeping. His son, Arivazhagan, a second year engineering student in a private engineering college, hacked him to death. Devakottai Taluk Police, who were informed about the incident, rushed to the spot.Â
In their investigation, police found out that Arivazhagan murdered Sekar as he had been unable to bear the torture meted out to his mother and sister. Arivazhagan has been arrested.
