Addressing the media, Raju said, “We have come up with an amicable solution acceptable to all three associations and hence the strike has been called off.”Â
Vishal Krishna, president of TFPC, said, “We will have a meeting with theatre owners to discuss the new ticket prices and other conditions on Wednesday before announcing the dates for new releases and shooting schedules.”Â
“Based on instructions from Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, the state had earlier facilitated talks with theatre owners a fortnight ago following which they agreed to call off their stir and reopen their screens,” Raju added. The strike began on March 1 with new releases being stalled.
