Kanimozhi held in Nellai for staging road roko

In Tirunelveli, Kanimozhi staged a road roko near Tirunelveli junction along with party functionaries and cadres.  

She raised slogans condemning the Union government for not implementing the Supreme Court order and set up the CMB. As the road roko had no permission, Kanimozhi was taken under custody and later released.  

She said that the DMK had been relentlessly protesting for setting up of the CMB, but the Union government is continuously betraying the people of Tamil Nadu. Only because of the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka the Centre is not favouring the setting up of the CMB, she alleged. 

She also said that the state is not giving enough pressure on the Centre to set up the CMB. The DMK will continue to protest and the future course would be decided by the party high command, she noted.
