Summon Health Minister: Sasikala’s counsel
Jailed and sidelined AIADMK leader VK Sasikala’s counsel Raja Senthoor Pandian is set to begin the cross-examination of witnesses in the ongoing probe into the death of former chief minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday.

The one-man enquiry commission headed by Justice A Arumughasamy had granted permission to Sasikala to cross-examine the witnesses, who had deposed before the commission. The order was issued on January 30.
Raja Senthoor Pandian is set to question two doctors Dr Vimala and Dr Narayana Babu. The counsel has originally planned to cross-examine seven doctors on Wednesday but due to prior commitments on part of the counsel, who is representing Sasikala’s nephew TTV Dhinakaran in a case pertaining to his party’s symbol, the counsel has delegated his juniors to begin the cross-examination.
He is expected to question the remaining five doctors and eight other individuals and complete the cross-examination on April 4 or 5.
Sasikala’s counsel has also urged the enquiry commission to issue summons to state Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar and Heath Secretary Dr Radhakrishnan.
Meanwhile, Jayalalithaa’s personal security ADGP Veeraperumal deposed before the one man enquiry commission on Tuesday. After his meeting with Justice Arumughaswamy, he met the press, saying he had informed the one-man commission about everything he knew – but wasn’t at liberty to disclose any details.
