Move no trust motion like TDP: Congress whip

Referring to the alleged poor fund allocation for Tamil Nadu by the Centre, Vijayadharani, participating in the budget debate in the Assembly, said, “You (AIADMK) move a no confidence motion against the BJP in Parliament. We will support you. We may not have members from the state in the House, but we have MPs in New Delhi.” 

She asked the AIADMK led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his Deputy O Panneerselvam to emulate the TDP and dare the BJP regime at the Centre. 

“We should voice strongly like Chandrababu Naidu did,” she told the House, after justifying the ‘cordial’ relationship maintained by the ruling AIADMK with the Centre to get necessary funds for the state. “I understand that you (AIADMK regime) are maintaining cordial ties with the Centre to avail funds for Tamil Nadu,” she remarked, requesting the convention of a special session of the Assembly to adopt a unanimous resolution against the Centre, which had betrayed Tamil Nadu on various issues.
