Melur couple rekindle actor Dhanush case
An elderly couple from Melur who had previously claimed that actor Dhanush is their son had sought the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court to investigate the authenticity of the certificates filed by Dhanush in the case and to declare them fake. The Court, on Monday, had reserved the verdict in the case without mentioning the date.
Madurai
Melur couple, Kathiresan and Meenakshi, filed a petition in Melur Judicial Magistrate Court, in 2016, stating that actor Dhanush was their son and he had absconded to Chennai when he was studying in plus one in a residential school in Tirupattur. After that he became an actor and did not return to see them.Â
So they had demanded monthly maintenance from the actor in the form of monetary assistance. However the actor challenged the case by filing a petition at Madurai Bench of Madras High Court. The Court too stayed the proceedings in Melur Court.
In the course of the case the actor had filed certificates and documents to claim that he was not their son but however all the certificates and documents were fake. So the Court should investigate the documents and certificates filed by Dhanush and should declare them fake, prayed the petitioner.Â
When the petition was heard, on Monday, the counsel of the petitioner argued that the birth and the school certificates produced by the actor were bogus and so the court should order a proper investigation on the authenticity of the certificates.Â
After the arguments Justice P.Rajamanickam reserved the verdict in the case without mentioning the date. Â
