Resignation won’t help in CMB formation: Thambidurai
Resignation of the AIADMK MPs will not help in the Cauvery Management Board formation as the proceedings will continue even after it, said Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai in Karur on Saturday. He asked, “If we resign, who will raise our rights in the House?”

Speaking to reporters, he said, “We have been continuously fighting for our rights in Parliament and so the House has been adjourned several times... We have two more weeks still and the CM had put forth the demand to the PM. The PM has assured the CM of forming the CMB and we have been fighting for it.” On the Opposition demand for MPs’ resignation, he said it will be of no use as the state will lose representation in Parliament.
