Enquiry into Theni fire post budget session

The fire, so far, had claimed 14 lives.  Sources said the official could not begin his probe since his presence as Principal Secretary, Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, here during the Budget session would be crucial. 

“He would listen to the version of Chennai Trekking Club and as well as the Tourist agency from Erode. This would help him shape his enquiry when he hits the trek’s trail,” the source said. 

The state on March 14 appointed senior IAS officer Misra and is in tune with the assurance of a thorough probe by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. He has to submit the enquiry report within two months.
