Kamal Haasan to go to west Tamil Nadu this week
Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan is set to head to Erode district on a two-day visit on March 10 and 11, after a series of events in Chennai to promote his campaign.

Kamal will soon get back on the road to continue his yatra and goal to convert villages across Tamil Nadu into model examples of development.
Kamal is expected to reach Perundurai on March 10 and meet with college students. He will then go on a march to Erode with the students. This is to be followed by a public address.Â
The next day, he is expected to visit Periyar Illam as well. Erode district secretary Chandru said that Kamal will hoist the party flag and he will also take part in programmes scheduled in Gobichettipalayam and Avinasi.Â
On Tuesday, 160 lawyers from Chennai, including 15 women and 18 law students, also joined Makkal Needhi Maiam.Â
Meanwhile, the actor-turned-politician is also expected to turn his Eldams Road residence into the official party office for Makkal Needhi Maiam this week and also hoist his party flag.
