    CM launches SMS service for e-Seva Centres

    Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, who inaugurated a slew of infrastructure facilities including buildings of various departments and bridges across the state, launched SMS service for e-Seva Centres and augmented more services under this initiative.

    In the new scheme, the applicant would receive an SMS confirmation once the application was accepted and the same can be tracked by sending a text message to 155250. The applicant would also receive an update once the certificate is ready. 

    He also launched Access & Manage through Mobile from Anywhere e-Service of Land Records (AMMA app). He also threw open hostels built for minority students in Kanniyakumari, Vellore, Villupuram, at a cost of Rs 7.94 crore. 

    One of the buildings inaugurated was an additional building for the hostel. 

    Palaniswami also launched a host of buildings constructed to benefit the farmers and to upgrade the Agriculture Department across the state. The buildings of the department launched were worth Rs 66.61 crore. Another building worth Rs 69.5 lakh built for Pollution Control Board in Vellore was also opened. 

    Under Rural Development Department, Palaniswami inaugurated projects worth Rs 30.73 crore multipurpose building and nine bridges. 

    The bridge connecting Pechiparai-Vettimurichan Road in Tiruvattar in Kanniyakumari, bridge over Valappar river along Marungur Neikuppai Road in Nagapattinam, bridge connecting Ramanathapuram-Melur and Gangaikondal-Kollanur Road in Ramanathapuram, high-level bridges connecting Silambakkam – Anumanthamandalam Road, Thenpakkam, and Ponthur – Vayaloor Roads in Kancheepuram and bridges in Pujanganoor-Nanjeyakoundan Pudur Road and Kalampalayam-Seeliyur Road in Coimbatore. 

    The multipurpose building launched was built at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) in Maraimalai Nagar, Kancheepuram.
