Jaya statue unveiled in haste: TTV
Sidelined AIADMK leader and RK Nagar MLA TTV Dinakaran criticised the ruling camp over the statue of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa installed at the party office. “The statue does not resemble Jayalalithaa at all. It was inaugurated in a hurry,” he said.

Speaking at a public meeting in Nagercoil on the occasion of birth anniversary of Jayalalithaa on Saturday, Dinakaran said that the statue of Jayalalithaa does not resemble her.
“Even a child will be able to recognise her. We will install a new statue for her, which will actually look like her,” he added. He also raised doubts whether the statue resembles either the mother of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami or Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam.
“Jayalalithaa was a majestic leader and she can be reproduced only if the person who makes the statue imbibes all her qualities and personality. The statue was made hurriedly with the intention to install on her birth anniversary and only because of the hastiness the statue had gone completely wrong,” Dinakaran reasoned.
He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ruling Tamil Nadu and not the AIADMK by referring to the recent statement of Panneerselvam that he joined with Palaniswami only on the insistence of Modi.
