Tax raids at top education group
Income Tax (I-T) sleuths raided the business and educational establishments of the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan group in Tiruchy and Perambalur on Thursday.

After information that the group had evaded paying tax, simultaneous raids were conducted at its establishments in Tiruchy, Perambalur, Kancheepuram and Coimbatore. The officials who arrived at Perambalur raided as many as 10 locations in the town. The raid lasted till evening.Â
Meanwhile, in Tiruchy a special team arrived at Srinivasan’s house at Karur by-pass and chit fund located at Salai Road and reportedly collected some documents from him.
