Sasikala’s nephew Vivek deposes before one-man commission
AIADMK leader VK Sasikala’s nephew Vivek Jayaraman deposed before Justice Arumughaswamy enquiry Commission probing the death of former CM Jayalalithaa on Tuesday.

Speaking to the press outside Kalas Mahal, Vivek said, “I am not allowed to divulge any information about the ongoing enquiry. We have been patient for so long, we must wait a little longer. I have been asked to appear again on February 28.”
Sources said Vivek had stated that he had been out of the country at the time of Jayalalithaa’s hospitalisation, and was unaware of the details of her treatment. Jayalalithaa’s driver Ayyappan deposed before the commission, while Sasikala’s counsel Raja Senthoor Pandian was also present regarding submission of her affidavit. Dr P Balaji, member secretary of the Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu and the government doctor who had attested Jaya’s left thumb impression in her by-election nomination papers during her hospitalisation, is due to appear before the commission on Wednesday.
