Sasikala receives testimonies, to reply by Feb 8
VK Sasikala, who has been lodged in a Bengaluru prison, has received the documents containing the details and testimonies of the 22 witnesses, who have deposed against her before the one-man inquiry commission probing the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

She has been given a week’s time to reply – from the time of reception. Sasikala was summoned to appear before the commission on December 21. She was represented by her counsel Raja Senthoor Pandian, who presented two petitions on January 3 and 15, requesting the testimonies of those who deposed against his client and seeking permission to cross-examine them. Justice A Arumughaswamy acceded to the demands on January 30. Sasikala is expected to reply by February 8.
