Deepak dismisses Amrutha’s claim as lies
When the High Court is set to hear the plea moved by a Bengaluru woman Amrutha S claiming to be the daughter of former CM J Jayalalithaa on Saturday, Deepak, the nephew of Jayalalithaa has moved a counter stating that the plea is full of lies and is liable to be dismissed.

Deepak contended that the will executed by his grandmother Sandhya alias Vedha Jayaraman on Nov 1, 1971, would clearly establish that late Sandhya had only one son namely Jayakumar and a daughter Jayalalithaa. As such, Amrutha’s claim in her petition that late Shylaja is the sister of Jayalalithaa is false and it is from this false story that Amrutha is taking her lead to fabricate her claims.
Countering another claim of Amrutha that she was born on August 14, 1980, to late Jayalalithaa, Deepak submitted that “I came to know that Jayalalithaa was acting in four regional films during 1980 and was also writing a series for a Tamil magazine. Moreover, there is video proof of her presence in the 27th film fare awards function held in Chennai. It is in this crucial period that Amrutha alleges that she was born to late Jayalalithaa, which is prima facie a blatant lie.”
Deepak further stated that he was born on August 27, 1980, and was raised at the Poes Garden residence and that his parents and sister Deepa were also residing there along with Jayalalithaa. Also, Amrutha’s mother was facing a defamation case for claiming that she is the sister of Jayalalithaa and the said case was filed by the state government while Jayalalithaa was the CM, he added. On denying all allegations made in the affidavit as false, Deepak also contended that certain averments made by Amrutha before the SC are contradictory to the pleadings filed before the High Court.
