Governor’s new Deputy Secretary to handle Universities
State Governor Banwarilal Purohit gets a new Deputy Secretary to handle the Universities which he administers as Chancellor in the State, and a temporary post has also been created to this effect.

An order passed by Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan revealed that sanction had been accorded for the creation of temporary post of Deputy Secretary to Governor(Universities), in the grade of District Revenue Officer(DRO).
“The sanction for the term of post is for a period of one year with effect from the date of assumption of charge or till the need for it ceases, whichever is earlier”, she said.
The order also notified C Muthukumaran, Zonal Officer, Greater Chennai Corporation, is transferred and posted to the newly created post.
MGR flower market
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami named a flower market that has come up at a cost of Rs 3 crore in Thovalai, Kanniyakumari, after former Chief Minister MGR. He inaugurated the facility through video-conferencing.
He also launched an integrated Agricultural Research Extension Centre in Boothapandi near Thovalai which was constructed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.
