BJP protest fare hike across many districts in TN
The BJP staged a protest in various towns in southern districts, on Wednesday.

President of BJP State Unit, Tamilisai Soundararajan, participated in the protest that was held in Madurai. At Munichalai, she raised slogans along with the cadres condemning the government for the hike in bus ticket prices. Tamilisai said that TNSTC is service oriented and profit should not be aim behind operating buses.
Similar protests were witnessed near Periyar bus stand in Madurai as members of Satta Panchayat and Tamil Puligal organisation staged a road roko. In the evening, VCK cadres staged protest condemning the ticket price hike in Goripalayam in Madurai. The cadre who gathered in front of the Anna statue were led by the urban district president (Tiruchy) Thanga Rajayyan who demanded the government to withdraw the fare hike.
More than 100 cadres of the VCK (Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi) staged a demonstration in front of the Vellore collector’s office on Wednesday. They said that it would lead to a hike in prices of vegetables. Nearly 100 BJP cadres staged a protest near the government Anna Kalai Arangam.
