As many of them are studying in Kovilpatti, they are forced to walk for more than six kilometres to reach their schools. After receiving information about the road roko, Nalatinpudhur police rushed to the spot and held talks with the students.

However, students stood their ground and demanded the police to arrange an alternate mode of transport to reach their schools. The inspector then took some of them in a police vehicle and also arranged a mini-van for the others to reach their schools.
