    TTV Dinakaran makes maiden speech

In his terse maiden speech in the Assembly on Tuesday, the lone independent legislator TTV Dinakaran sought that the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s government prove that it was ‘Amma’s regime’ by fulfilling the demands of the striking transport workers.

Speaker P Dhanapal, who granted permission to Dinakaran on his maiden attempt, denied the same next time, prompting him to stage a walk-out. Giving political lessons to the ruling dispensation, Dinakaran observed that the government should act in the right way and find the right solution and fulfil the demands of the transport workers.

Dinakaran, who wanted to explain his stand over a purported remark on his ties with the DMK, was denied the opportunity while DMK legislator J Anbazhagan was speaking on the debate on thanking Governor’s address. Speaking to reporters, Dinakaran said he was forced to stage a walk-out since he was not given an opportunity to explain.
