Another aged couple killed in Tirupur district

Sixty seven-year-old Palanisamy and his wife Kannammal (57) from Kangeyam were hacked to death at their farm house in the wee hours on Thursday.

The murder was noticed by a worker, who came to the farm in morning. As soon as he saw the dead bodies, he was aghast and informed the police who rushed to the spot. Preliminary inquiries by the police personnel revealed that no valuables were lost in the house.

Police sent the bodies for a post mortem to the Kangeyam Government Hospital and inquiries are on to know the motive behind the brutal murder. The couple’s son and daughter, who are married have been informed.

It was on December 28, last year, Muthukumarasamy, 70 and his wife Deivathal, 65, both staying at a farm house at Nachipalayam in Avinashipalayam were hacked to death.
