Jayalalithaa’s biopic titled Puratchi Thalaivi

The latest buzz is that the biopic, which will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, has been titled Puratchi Thalaivi, and that the makers are planning to shoot the film early next year. 

When we got in touch with Bharadwaj, he said, “Yes, we’ve titled the film Puratchi Thalaivi, and it will majorly be shot in Tamil. We are planning to release it in both Hindi and Telugu, too. Around 60 per cent of the film will be shot in Mumbai, and other portions will be shot in Chennai and Ahmedabad.”

Regarding the cast and crew, he said, “We will be officially announcing the entire cast in the month of January. The film will go on floors in a month’s time.” 

The makers of the film have been in touch with close aides of Jayalalithaa for a while now to ensure authenticity in the script.
