Our loss irreplaceable: Sadiq Batcha family

Though the family members of the late Sadiq Batcha, the close aide of ex-minister A Raja, opined that the 2G verdict was a positive one, they are yet to recover from the pain caused by his death.

Realtor Batcha, MD of Green House Promoters, was found dead at his residence in Chennai soon after the CBI had questioned him in connection with the 2G spectrum case in 2011.

When DTNext contacted his family members, Batcha’s younger brother Jaffer Ali said, “We are not in a mood to comment. That (death of Sadiq Batcha) was a great loss. We are still unable to come out of the pain and now the (ex) minister has come clean, but our loss still cannot be replaced.” However, Ali welcomed the verdict. It may be recalled that the family had displayed posters in 2016 stating that Batcha was the victim of a political ploy.
