The Collectorate campus, with its lush growth of trees and greenery has become the home of a horde of simians who flaunt their collective will by walking along the building’s corridors at will, collecting eatables as their ‘fee.’ As most locals venerate them as gods, they are never shooed away.

Rather, when the monkeys descend on the building, the inmates hurriedly scatter. In a bid to end the menace, the Forest department was called in and the latter set up a huge cage – enough for five simians – and even put in some eatables to attract them. However, what officials did not anticipate was that the eatables left inside the cage would also attract a group of stray dogs, who took it upon themselves to tree any monkey which was foolish enough to venture to the ground.

At the end of the day, the cage remained open and the dogs feasted on the food. And the monkeys continue to rule from the treetops.
