AIADMK puts gag on media talk
AIADMK co-ordinator O Panneerselvam and joint co-ordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday declared that the party leadership had not authorised anyone to speak on political affairs and said that the views of those during television channel debates could not be considered as the AIADMK’s opinion.

In a joint statement, they said some people are participating in television debates and speaking to the media claiming to be AIADMK supporters and alliance party leaders. “The opinions expressed by them are not the official views of the AIADMK, as it has not permitted anyone to use its identity and express views on behalf of the party. No one has been nominated to represent the party in the media,” they said.
Recalling that the party had already announced that a team of spokespersons would be appointed to express views on behalf of the AIADMK to media persons and television channels, they said only the new team to be announced would convey the party’s stand on political issues.
