Fear over tender policy of BHEL
BHELSIA (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Small and Medium Industries Association) that comprised over 300 ancillaries unit have alleged that a Nagpur based company has under quoted all types of works alleging predatory pricing and has urged BHEL to reject the bid by the company.

S Ashok Sundaresan, president of BHELSIA, said the loss-making price bid by Seam Industries, which was more than 25 per cent less than last year price will result in loss of business of about 2,25,000 tonnes. He alleged that predatory pricing should be done at a fair price and there may be some hidden agenda that BHEL tender policy has joined hands with a corporate to wipe out the MSMEs in this region.
The members have now demanded that BHEL should reorient its tender policy by disclosing the fair price.
