    Jallikattu inquiry panel chief hospitalised

    Retired judge S Rajeswaran, heading the one-man commission probing the violence during the pro-jallikattu agitation in January last, was hospitalised here today following indisposition.

    Rajeswaran, who is holding a three-day sitting here since yesterday, suffered indisposition past midnight yesterday and was admitted to a nearby private hospital, police said.

    Hospital sources said he had high blood pressure and his condition was stable now.

    A total of 33 persons have been issued summons for appearing before the commission here.

    The commission is inquiring into the violence and other incidents during the agitation at different place in the state demanding lifting of the ban on jallikattu in January this year.
