Engineering grad held for kidnap threat

According to police, the accused Sai Prasanna of Teppakulam in Madurai, had sent a message to Kanagavel, a businessman from Teppakulam, that he should give him 70,000 Euros or else both his children would be kidnapped. 

Immediately, Kanagevel sent his children to a safe and undisclosed location and then informed the police. 

Based on his complaint, Annanagar police formed a special team to nab the accused. Police traced his IMEI number and the special team rounded up Prasanna and arrested him. 

During the investigation, Prasanna confessed to have threatened two businessmen (at Avaniyapuram in Madurai and Ottanchathram in Dindigul district). Police also said that in case of Avaniyapuram businessman, Prasanna had demanded Rs 50 lakh.
