When the petitioner KK Ramesh argued that the case was heard twice in the past and not a single reply was filed so far by the government, Judges Venugopal and Abdul Kuthus immediately questioned the public prosecutor.
The petitioner had prayed the High Court to direct the government to provide a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the family of the persons who had died of dengue in the state and stop the proposed merger of Centre for Research in Medical Entomology at Madurai with another research centre in Puducherry.
