Gang fleeing Pondy after murder caught in Cuddalore

According to police, the youth Kolainjinathan, hailing from Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu murdered Sudhakar some time ago. After completing his conviction and sentence, he settled down in Puducherry.

Meanwhile, Sudhakar’s brother Sevalkodi and his friends were in search for Kolanjinathan and when they came to know that he was in Puducherry, he along with other six hired goons came over in a car to Puducherry and knocked down Kolanjinathan who was riding a two-wheeler on Anna Salai. They hacked him to death in full public view as a retaliatory act of Sudhakar’s murder.

They left the place immediately in the same car. As the car was being driven in full speed, it knocked down 20 vehicles on its way, in Cuddalore.

After committing the crime, they left Puducherry in the same car and in a hurry to escape, their car hit against 20 vehicles in Cuddalore. Following this, the public in Cuddalore blocked the car and dragged them out and manhandled them. In the melee, four of them gave the slip. But the public caught three of them, who were identified as Sevalkodi, Siva and Sekhar.

Cuddalore police rescued them from the wrath of the public and took them into custody.

Meanwhile, Odeansaalai police sent the body of Kolanjinathan to the government general hospital for post-mortem. They registered a case and left for Cuddalore to take possession of the murder accused from the Cuddalore police.
