5-year-old girl case: Hunt on for boy
In a shocking incident, a five year old girl was allegedly assaulted sexually by a Class 7 boy in Mayiladuthurai in Nagapattinam district on Tuesday evening. The girl has been admitted in the GH while the boy is absconding.

While the five-year-old girl was coming from school on Tuesday evening, the Class 7 boy from the same locality blocked her way, and then took her to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her. When the girl was screaming out of pain, passersby rushed to the spot and rescued her, while the boy escaped from the spot.Â
The passersby, took the girl to her parents. However, the girl had cried all through the night out of pain and therefore her parents took her to Mayiladuthurai GH for treatment. They also lodged a complaint with the Manamelkudi police against the boy.Â
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a case has been filed against the boy under POCSO Act and the police have launched a hunt for the boy.
