The Pattali Makkal Katchi has on Thursday condemned the government for not holding talks with contract nurses, who have been agitating for the last one week. PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss in a statement, said, “A total of 11,000 nurses were appointed in the government hospitals across the state in 2015.
These nurses were selected through the Tamil Nadu Medical Service Board. However, they were not regularised so far.” Stating that the government was trying to handle the protest by force, Anbumani said, “It clearly indicates atrocity of the government administration. It is completely unacceptable.” He urged the government to look into the matter immediately.
