A day after actor Kamal Haasan announced that he would undertake a state-wide tour in January, co-operative minister Sellur K Raju, on Wednesday said, anyone is welcome to meet the people and added that the state government would take necessary action if the actor conveyed the grievances of people.

The minister who inspected the flood relief and drainage works in Tondiarpet, denied the charge of Leader of Opposition MK Stalin that Rs 1,500 crore sought by the state government from the Centre for flood relief works would be for the purpose of swindling.

The minister said Stalin had spoken in an irresponsible manner and pointed out that when the Centre allocated funds the state government’s spending would be subjected to auditing.
