Duraimurugan warns of stir against TEL privatisation

Stating that officials were surveying the premises and making estimates of the machinery on the site, he said, that the officials had claimed they were measuring the land for an airfield. 

Duraimurugan added that a court stay had been obtained against the Vellore district administration filling cooks and assistants posts in anganwadis and noon meal centres due to the various anomalies which came to light in filling posts. If the Vellore Collector continued to fill posts, then a contempt of court proceedings would be initiated against him, he added. 

He also called on the government to post IAS officers as Commissioners to the Vellore Corporation following two commissioners T Kumar and P Kubendran being arrested in succession by the Vigilance which he said was very shameful. 

Closing schools was the only action which the state government initiated in the wake of rain lashing Chennai city. No waterway was desilted in Chennai and even ministers were unaware of it, he added.
