Notices to 15 people in Jaya death probe
The one man inquiry commission headed by retired Madras High Court Judge Justice A Arumughaswamy, set up to probe the death of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, has issued notices to 15 people seeking explanation on their involvement during the days leading up to her hospitalisation.

However, the names, to whom the notices were issued, were not disclosed. The commission was scheduled to commence its probe on Monday from Jayalalithaa's Poes Garden residence.Â
But, Justice Arumughaswamy, who is currently in Coimbatore, was expected to start his probe after receipt of reply to the notices. On October 27, he told reporters that people could reach him personally or send the information about Jayalalithaa’s death through post.Â
He also said that people, who knew Jayalalitha well could also aid the probe. Following this, the commission was said to have received 20 letters at its office at Kalas Mahal in the city. Sources said the notices were sent based on the information contained in these letters.
