CM should take suo moto action: NGO
Condemning the suicide of the family due to usury in Tirunelveli, on Monday, ‘People’s Watch’, an NGO based at Madurai, had demanded Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswamy, to take suo moto action.

Henry Tiphagne, Executive Director, People’s Watch, said that Esakimuthu and his family had submitted six petitions to Tirunelveli Collector and the petitions were forwarded to the district police who had in turn had forwarded it to Achanputhur police.
The local police had failed to investigate the petitions and higher officials too had failed to track them. This is due to the lack of apathy of higher officials, he said.
